TOPIC: DIVINE SHAKING.
TEXT: Acts 16:25-26

 

  • God will one day put down the present world order and shake them to pieces, the whole materials of the universe. Haggai 2:6-9, 21
  • The heavens and the earth shall be shaken. Joel 3:16; Matthew 24:29-30
  • The present form of the world is not eternal, it will be destroyed by fire and replaced by a new heaven and earth. 2 Peter 3:10-11; Revelation 20:11; 21:1.
  1. To reveal -Matthew 7:24-27
  • The teaching of Jesus on the two houses built with their magnificent, but will be tested by the shaken of the winds blew on them, whether they were strongly built or not. Matthew 7:24-27
  • Divine shaken is to reveal whom you are in the Lord through the Word of God you are learning, teaching, studying day by day.
  • Christ will object of your obedience and strength of your faith and trust in time of your trouble, you go unto whom you believe and trust.
  • The level of Abraham – Genesis 20:1-2, 11-13, faith in God for His protection
  • The corona virus (covid-19)shaking revealed the strength of NHS in UK and the medical system of the nations of the world, failures, weaknesses, strength , etc., are revealed in crisis or shaken.
  1. To Recompense – Galatians 6:7-8
  • There will be pay day for every man’s labour or there will be reaping for what a man sowed. Galatians 6:7-8
  • The two that hear the Word of God.
  1. Build his life, family, career, etc., on the Word of God in obedience – Matthew 7:24-25
  • The Word of God is the solid foundation that our lives should be built upon to avoid disaster at the end.
  1. The other that lived disobedience to the Word he heard is building his life, career, family, future, etc., on the ordinary sand that cannot withstand the storm or winds. Matthew 7:26-27
    • Both of the two will be recompensed for their deeds of obedience and disobedience for what a man sows he shall reap them. Galatians 6:7-8
    • Divine shaking come to recompense.
    • Those who put their trust in God or other things – there will be pay day or reward.
  2. To Remove – Hebrews 12:24
  • Divine shaking is to remove chaff from wheat. Matthew 3:12
  • To root out every wrong plants. Matthew 15:13
  1. The things that are not matter.
  • The situation on the earth now, who remember the earthly pursuit, buying shoes, dresses, drinking in the pub to dance, etc.
  1. The things that are very matter.
    • Life, health, food, medicine, shelters and protection, etc., are very matter
    • All we are thinking that are important before are not necessarily matter.
  • Our faith in God is matter. Mark 11:23
  • Our faith in God is very matter, we are to cast our burden on Him in faith. 1 Peter 5:7
  • Remove all what are not important and strength what are very important. Isaiah 35:3, Hebrews 12:12. (That is strengthen other people’s faith in the Lord as looking uncertainty).
  1. To Restore – Joel 2:25-26
  • How can shaking restore?
  • The purpose of shaking, storm or winds is to restore – after destruction.
  • Rebuilding with right materials after its destruction. Jeremiah 1:10; Jeremiah 18:1-4.
  • Restore is to make things better than before. Ecclesiastes 7:8
  • The collapsed faith is to be rebuild in God’s Word, e.g. Peter – Matthew 26:69-75; Thomas – John 20:19-22; 24-29.
  • Collapsed marriage, relationship, career, ministry, business, etc. need to rebuild with right material of the truth of the Word of God. John 17:17; 1 Peter 1:24-25; Isaiah 40:8
  • Restoration back to God in faith, obedience, trust and hope in Christ. Jeremiah 3:22; Luke 15:17-24
  • We need to learn from the crisis of the corona virus to know where our strength, weaknesses, failure, mistakes and lies.
  1. Divine Sabbath – Leviticus 25:3-4
  • Every seventh day is Sabbath
  • Every seventh year is Sabbath
  • Every 7 x 7 is Sabbath = Jubilee. Leviticus 25:3-4 – this is land and not people
  • Pandemic (Covid-19) changed everything climate, birds, air, environment, etc.
  • Sabbath is for rest, renewal, restoration, etc.
  • God has given compulsory rest, no travelling, no visiting by divinely force for our good through corona virus.
  • All what we think is not impossible are now forcefully possible through Covid-19. Romans 8:28
  1. Divine Shaking Politically
  • No time for political debate, publicity and working against each other as before, but to focus on God, fellowship with God in prayer for mercy, meditation in His Word and reasoning with Him for forgiveness. Isaiah 1:18-19.
  1. Divine Signal – Mark 13:28-30
  • All these shaking is a signal that Jesus is coming to reward every one according to their deeds. Revelation 22:12
  1. Divine Salvation – Haggai 2:6-7
  • Jesus is the desire of all nations, Haggai 2:6-7, that they should seek for their salvation and protection. Eg.
  1. The shaking of King Nebuchadnezzar Daniel 3
  • When Nebuchadnezzar was shaken through miraculous deliverance of God for the 3 Hebrews, he made a decree of the God of those men. Daniel 3: 29
  • The divine deliverance of Daniel from lion’s den made King Darius to present God of Daniel as the only Saviour/Deliverer. Daniel 6:25-27
  • During divine shaking look for refuge in God – Psalm 91:1-10; Psalm 125:1-2. Other gods are nonsense and powerless. Isaiah 44:9-17
  • Open people’s eyes of understanding to God of Salvation and deliverance.
  • Church to preach the message of Salvation in Christ Jesus. Matthew 28:19
  • It’s beyond physical salvation/protection but salvation from the wrath that is coming to judge the world. Romans 5:9; 1 Thessalonians 1:10
  • Not only the physical only, but Spiritual Salvation, refuge, protection and finally make it to Heaven.
  • The Revelation chapters 6 – 8 judgement are pending, worst than corona virus, let us be warned and make Christ our Saviour, Redeemer and Lord for total deliverance from the wrath to come.
