Theme: KING OF KINGS Revelation 19:16
Introduction:
*The earthly kings/presidents are not fully in control of all the realm of affair, though they may have influence in some nations of the world.
*But as King of kings He has full control in all the realm of His kingdom all over the world.
*He rules over all the realm of His creations.
*Angels are created; Men are created too, right from Adam. – Genesis 5:1-2
- God, the King of kings, is not created
*Long before Adam, God has been ruling over all realm of life – Psalms 90:1-2
*He was the King when there was nothing created yet on earth.
*He has been reigning before the existence of anything Psalms 93:1-2
*He was uncreated King that created all kings and kingdoms. Proverbs 8:22-26
- The I AM that I AM – Exodus 3:14
*He reigns over Himself;When there was nothing created yet He enthrones Himself; He wasn’t created by nobody nor democratically elected. No one reign over Him nor put Him in position.
- He is the all Sufficient God.
*He did not rely on, or is He expecting help from anything before He exist, and for His action
Exodus 3:2-3
- He created and rule over all. Colossians 1:15-17
*He is King before all were created by Him to rule over.
*The painter remains a painter even when he is not painting or drawing. But when he draws and paints, it reveals who he is, and his work.
*He was not appointed, nor voted for to be King by anyone, or group of people. He is autocracy King.
- The Nature of King of kings
*It is the nature of King to determine the scope of His Kingdom.
*Anything that is contrary to nature/righteousness of God and His Kingdom will not be acceptable to Him as the King of kings.
*The King does not follow the kingdom, it is the kingdom that follows the nature and rules of the King.
*The King is the Alpha and Omega of His kingdom. Revelation 1:8; Isaiah 41:4
- He is King that is always right. Psalms 115:3
- He is Sovereign – (Unquestionable) Ecclesiastes 8:4b
- He is Self existence; Self-sustaining; Self-governing; and Self-Sufficient.
*He has Absolute freedom to do what He will. He cannot be restricted. Ecclesiastes 8:4b;
Romans 9:15-18
*He has absolute authority, no restriction to jurisdiction in His operation or control.
*He always laughs off all those who are working against His will in our lives. Psalms 2:1-4
*He messed up Satan when he attempted raising himself up against God in heaven. Isaiah 14:12-15;Ezekiel 28:14-17; Revelation 12:9
- He is Supreme Commander over all.
*He is the Omnipresent, Omniscience, and the Omnipotent One.
*Don’t fear any authority working against your life, family, ministry, career etc, except the great
King Malachi 1:14
- What is the heart and plans of this King towards us?
*The heavens declare the glory of God, and the firmament showeth His handiwork, But did not declare His heart to us: Psalm 19:1
*The nature cannot tell us the heart of God, but only the Scriptures declares His heart of love to us wards. John 3:16
*That is the special revelation of the Scripture Psalm 19:7-10
- He want to be a Father to us
- He want to be a friend to us
- He want to be in fellowship with us
- He want us to be like Him in creation
- He wants us to be joyful and happy.
- He wants us to live in peace and be fruitful, etc.
- He wants us to reign with Him in His kingdom, where He is King over all.
- He want us to be successful, blessed, enjoy, have sound health, etc, that is His heart of love to us Jeremiah 29:11
*That is why He created us in His Image and likeness. Genesis 1:26-27
- The Kings
*Who are the kings that He rules over?
- The invisible kings – Colossians 1:16
*The invisible kings has or sit on invisible thrones and they rule over kingdoms Isaiah 26:13
*In spiritual realms, there are invisible kings on the throne – Daniel 10:13; 12:1
*God is still the King over those invisible kings at any time, and in any location.
- The visible kings – Colossians 1:16
- The General kings
*All created human, and people have kings over them, who are made in God’s image, and His likeness. Genesis 1:26-29; Psalm 8:3-4 but man lost his glory. Genesis 3
*Whether you know God or not, He is King over you.
- The Special kings
*Are those who were made, and cleanse in the Blood of Christ, that is those who believe in Him. Revelation 1:5-6
*The Blood of Christ is for us all, but not all that receive His grace. John 1:12
*We are the kings that have been redeemed by the Blood of Christ.
*We are kings in two ways:
- By creation. Genesis 1:26-27
- By virtue of redemption – Revelation 5:9-10
*We are now special kings to Him as our King of kings.
- Privileges of Special Kings
- Covenant relationship
- Special access to the King of kings – Hebrews 10:19
- Special means of grace – e.g. Fellowship, Prayer, Talking to God, Praising, Worshipping, Hearing from Him, from time to time or through scriptures.
*Bible/Scripture is a means of grace to know God, pray to Him, and hear from Him etc.
- Special authority – Luke 10:19, Acts 19:11-15; John 1:12
- Special responsibilities e.g. Preaching and or witnessing Revelation 22:17;
Mark 16:15-18
- Conclusion
- God is my King and my Master – (Personal)
- God is my God and Father – (Personal)
- God is the King and Master of my masters. Ephesians 6:5-9
- God is the King and Master of all my monsters e.g. Pharaoh Exodus 1:15; Haman, Herod, Cancer, and all incurable diseases etc. Job 40:15-24; 41:1-34; 42:1-2
*There is one in heaven that has the power to handle all our monsters in any ways they may come against us, as we have access to this great King. Psalms 50:15; Isaiah 26:13-14
*All evil against us are monsters e.g. Cancer, demons, witches, wizards, familiar spirit possessors, haters, attackers, deceit, etc Romans 11:22, 33-36
- Be on His good side, having Him as your Father, your Lord, your Master, Friend, and your all.
- Enjoy His goodness
iii. Put all your total confidence in Him alone.
- Trust Him in all circumstances of your life.
- Be forever grateful to Him, and worship Him continually.
- Spread His Good News for all to hear. Romans 11:22, 32-36
