DECEMBER 2020 CROSS OVER PRAYER

THEME: Samson’s Hairs Grows Again – Daniel 16:22

 

There is a saying that: “Whatever goes up must come down; and that there is nothing that lasts forever”. In God’s own infinite wisdom, He allowed to be included in His Holy Book, the following passages in Micah 7:8 “Rejoice not against me, O mine enemy; when I fall, I shall arise; …” This means knock down is not the end of man, as long as he’s not knocked out. When a man falls, and retains his trust in Him, his faith, and the spirit God dwells in him, he can rise again. I will liken Samson and the growth of his hairs as the Restoration of a fallen Hero. Samson became a man who was far less than he should have been. He came into this world born of a promise from God that he would be a Nazarene set apart for the glory of God, and that he would be the deliverer of the nation of Israel (Jud. 13:1-14). There can be little doubt that the Lord used Samson in his life, but his service to the Lord was hampered by the sins that marred his life.

Samson was a man characterized by weakness in his flesh. He had a weakness for wicked women. That desire for illicit sexual relationships continually hindered his usefulness to the Lord and eventually it cost him his freedom, his ministry and his life.

Thankfully the story of Samson does not conclude with him bound by his enemies. That is to say, no matter how far we may have fallen, if we are saved, and we’re still His, He has a plan to bring us back to Himself.

That should be encouraging news to every child of God. We all fail, and sometimes like Samson we fail in a big way. We all fail the Lord from time to time and sometimes we fail in a spectacular fashion. We see this in the lives of all the heroes of faith mentioned in the Bible. “The Hall of Faithful” in Hebrews 11 could also be named “The Hall of Failures”, because all the members of that illustrious organization failed God, and they failed Him big.

 

Abraham lacked the faith to believe God’s promises to take care of him and he went down to Egypt where he lied about his wife.

Sarah laughed at God and mocked His promises.

Isaac also lied about his wife.

Moses committed murder and tried to cover it up.

Joshua was full of pride and failed to pray before he attacked Ai where the nation of Israel was defeated.

Rahab was a prostitute.

The successful Christian is not the person who never fails, but it is the person who when they fail, gets back up and goes on for the Lord. The successful Christian is the person who accepts God’s remedy for sin and reaches up to God for cleansing and forgiveness when he fails.

What does it mean that Samson’s hair grew again? It means Restoration.

Today, how many Samson are still sleeping on the laps of ‘Delilah’? They have left the purpose of God for their lives. They have left the place of consecration and holiness, and are wasting in worldly frivolities. They are exchanging their eternal glory for momentary, earthly pleasures. May God help us! Samson was careless and was about to pay heavily for it.
Physically, Samson was the strongest man on earth then, but he lacked self-control, integrity, and firmness which are one of the weaknesses of men. Many mistake strong passions for a strong character, but the truth is that he who is mastered by his passions is a weak man. The real greatness of the man is measured by the power of the feelings that he controls, not by those that control him. Samson was surrounded with favourable conditions for physical strength, intellectual vigour, and moral purity. But under the influence of wicked associates he let go of his grip on God, which is man’s ONLY safeguard, and he was swept away by the tide of evil. Those who in the way of duty, run into trials may be sure that God will preserve them; but you must not wilfully place yourself under the power of temptation, you will certainly fall if you do.
The philistines, through Delilah desecrated the secret of Samson’s power, by shaving off his hair. The spirit of God immediately left him, and consequently, they “captured him and gouged out his eyes. They took him to Gaza, where he was bound with bronze chains and made to grind grain in the prison.” To rub in their victory, the philistines held festivals and offered sacrifices to their god – Dagon (the fish-god, the protector of the sea), claiming that she helped them to gain victory over Samson. They used Samson for shows. That is what disobedience can cause. But this immediately provoked God’s jealousy, and Samson’s hair began to grow again. His strength began to return. I tell you, your humiliation by the enemy is already provoking God’s intervention in your situation. This is because God cannot watch His purpose for your life being mocked by your enemies and foreign gods. Now, don’t bother to recount what brought that calamity to your life, your business, ministry or even your family. What I can assure you is that the power of God is coming towards every area of your life, to RESTORE it. And it is going to be very sudden. God will take the enemy by surprise.
Samson prayed to God, regained his power and killed more people at this point than all his lifetime. I see God giving you an earth-shaking breakthrough this year. That will automatically pay-off all the wasted years. As you follow us in this 31 days fasting and prayer, God will restore WHATEVER the enemy has taken away from you. Remember, you have to give your life to Christ TODAY so you can partake of this divine manoeuvring.

TOPIC: – PRAISE GOD OF MERCY FOR OUR NEW BEGINNING IN HIM. PSALM 22:3

There is nothing as good as for a man to know his or her limitation; and to recognize that there is nothing we have which we have not received. If therefore we receive ALL that we claim to possess, without exception, it will be immoral not to acknowledge the source. Looking back, I can attest to the fact, there are things I’m enjoying which can only be attributed to Mercy. And you know the same thing happens in your life. Why wouldn’t you and I praise our Gracious Father for this mercy, and show Him our act of appreciation.

DAY TWO

 

TOPIC: – THE CLARION CALL OF REPENTANCE AND CLEANSING FOR THE NEW BEGINNING. ISAIAH 1:18-19

Before two or more people can start relationships, there must have been a meeting of the minds, and awareness of the dos and don’ts of each party involved. The good thing however, about the call tonight and the agreement therein is, we (human), are not the initiators of it. God issued invitation for us to come for dialogue. He knew we have messed up big time; and the only way out is for Him to help us back on our feet. He’s therefore ready to give us another chance for new beginning. Repent, be Cleansed, and have a new beginning.

 

1. Father we thank You for Your agape love of redemption bestowed to us through Christ Jesus.

 

2. Thank You Lord for another chance you have granted us to repent from disobedience. Ezekiel 33:11

 

3. We thank You for Your grace that is available for us to consider our ways before You. Haggai 1:5

 

4. Now confess all known and unknown sins, in humility, soberness and contrite of hearts; also renounce and forsake them all. 2 Chronicles 7:14

 

5. Purge yourselves from every dirtiness and evil thought of the hearts with the Blood of Jesus. Matthew 15:19-20

 

6. Cast out the little foxes that can separate you from Your God who died for your sins and now lives. Songs of Solomon 2:15

 

7. You need to admit your sins; no cover up, nor hiding anything from Him. He knows it all. Confess, renounce it and cleanse yourself in His Blood. Matthew 26:28; Hebrews 4:13

DAY THREE

 

TOPIC: – BAPTISM OF THE HOLY SPIRIT WITH FRESH FIRE AND POWER ACTS 4:31

 

The word of God is clear about those who sought and received Holy Spirit baptism, with Power. “And when THEY HAD PRAYED…” This means, nothing happens in the spirit realm, if we do not pray. Tonight, you will ask for, and receive Holy Spirit baptism, with evidence of not just speaking in tongue, but with fresh fire and power.

 

1. Father, thank You for you are always there as we come to You in genuine repentance. James 4:8

 

2. Thank You for your grace and for renewing your power in us, for the work of the ministry. Acts 4:23-31

 

3. Confess, renounce and drop any sin that can hinder you from fresh baptism of the Holy Ghost and wash yourself in Jesus Blood. 1 John 1:9-10

 

4. O Lord God and Father, give us fresh baptism of the Holy Spirit with Fire as it was on the day of Pentecost. Acts 2:1-3

 

5. Father let the wind of the Holy Spirit blows into the Body of Christ worldwide, with great revival of Sanctification of souls. Acts 8:4-8

TOPIC: – LORD GROWS THE HAIRS OF MY RELATIONSHIP WITH YOU. 2 CORINTHIANS 6:16b

 

Samson’s hair was the symbol of his vows, purpose, and power with God. He was born a Nazarene; which means no razor should touch his hair nor be cut. He fell in the lap of Delilah; but after a while, Samson’s hair began to grow back again. Also note that Samson’s power did not come from his hair, but it came from his relationship with the Lord. The hair was just the symbolic connection. Therefore, the growth of his hair was the beginning of the restoration of that special relationship, Samson had enjoyed with the Lord. Ask God to begin to grow the hairs, or whatever it is that you had covenanted with the Lord but you have allowed to be tampered with.

 

1. Father, we thank You for Your love and for desiring our Fellowship all the time, despite our shortcomings.

 

2. Father, forgive us all sins that separate our Fellowship with You in Jesus Name. Isaiah 59:2

 

3. Holy Spirit, grow our hairs that the works of the flesh has moved and make us powerless in Jesus Name. Judges 16:22

 

4. Father of Mercy, grow again, baldness in the head that has exposed us to shame and ridicule.

 

5. Every middle wall that sin built to hinder our fellowship with You, break it to pieces, in Jesus Name. Ephesians 2:14-15

TOPIC: – LORD GROW THE HAIR OF MY APPRECIATION. LUKE 17:12-20

 

It is good to show appreciation for all we received, either from fellow human or from our Father God. We have things that we never paid for on the platter of Gold; such as good health, food provision, shelter, clothing, and many more. O God, I’m therefore asking that you grow the hairs of my gratitude, so that I will show appreciation at all times for the things you have done, and still doing.

 

1. Father, we appreciate all Your goodness in our lives, families and our loved ones; thank You and be glorified.

 

2. We thank You again for how You have been protecting and fighting the battles confronting us daily, Lord we appreciate You.

 

3. In any way we have not been appreciating or acknowledging Your good deeds to us, Father forgive and cleanse us with Your Blood, in Jesus Name. 1 John 1:6-7

 

4. Holy Ghost, empower and inspire us to pray through, according to the will of God, in Jesus Name. 1 John 5:14

 

5. By Your mercy O Lord, grow the hairs of appreciation and thanksgiving in us, for Your Kindness to us in Jesus Name. Luke 17:15-18

 

6. Father, You are worthy to be appreciated, thank You for the Victory You have won for us in the battle of life in Jesus Name. 2 Chronicles 20:27-28

DAY SIX

 

TOPIC: LORD GROW MY HAIRS OF MIRACLES ACTS 4:16

 

Every child of God must aspire to the position of performing the miraculous, as our Lord had said: “…He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father” (John 14:12). So, if we lack the power, it is because, like Samson, the “hair” of our power may have been shaven. Tonight, we need to cry to God and ask Him to grow the hairs for our miracle.

 

1. God of miracle, You are Our Father, the Creator, Maker, Healer, Resurrection and life, and everything to us, we thank You.

 

2. O Lord, Your existence, Your Work of Creation, Plans and deeds for humanity are miracles that confirmed Your miraculous acts, for this we honour You. Psalm 33:6, 9

 

3. We thank You Lord for making us the crown of Your creation, after been beautifully and fearfully made in Your own image and likeness. Genesis 1:26-27; Psalm 139:14

 

4. Father, forgive us every sin of limiting Your power of miracle through our unbelief. Psalm 78:19, 41

 

5. Holy Spirit, open our eyes of understanding to the knowledge of God of miracle and to believe on Him for all our miracles, in Jesus Name. Mark 9:23

 

6. Father of mercy, grow my hairs of miracles and let Your wonders manifest through me; so that gentiles will believe You as their Saviour, in Jesus Name. John 4:48

 

7. By Your anointing, make Christ The Living Word Church Your miracle centre to humanity, in Jesus Name. John 14:12-13

 

8. God of power, in every area that I am struggling or failing, by Your miraculous hand, help me out, in Jesus Name. Luke 5:4-7

 

9. The miracle that will silence those that reproach me, Father, manufacture it out of nothing for Your Name sake, in Jesus Name. Isaiah 48:11

 

10. Father, make me a miracle worker, only in You, by the power of Your anointing on me, in Jesus Name. Acts 6:8

 

11. O God, make my life and family the centre of Your miracle and glorify Your great Name among the gentiles, in Jesus Name. Malachi 1:14b

 

12. Father, by Your miracle, give me total deliverance from every bondage and captivity I found myself now in Jesus Name. Acts 5:18-19

14. Hand of miracle of God, pull down every stubborn barriers standing between us and our promised land in Jesus Name. Isaiah 45:2-3

 

15. The miracle You wrought that made Joseph the Prime Minister of Egypt, Father do it for our children in any nation of their sojourn in life, in Jesus Name. Genesis 41:42-44

 

16. Lord, let there be a divine visitation of Your miracle that will turn our assembly to centre to be visited, in Jesus Name. Acts 3:6-10

 

17. By Your Power Lord, create my own miracle out of nothing as You created this planet out of emptiness, in Jesus Name. Genesis 1:1-3

 

18. Father God, do a miracle that will draw people to salvation in every nation of the earth, in Jesus Name. John 4:48

 

19. By Your miracle O Lord, grant Christ The Living Word Church her own properties as a place of worship because You are the owner of the earth and its fullness, in Jesus Name. Psalm 24:1

DAY SEVEN

 

TOPIC: – FATHER GROW MY HAIRS OF FAVOUR – ESTHER 2:17

 

Samson had desired for God to favour and honour him (Judges 16:28). He stood before the people yet seeking favour and grace from above. Yes in his darkness, in a state of humiliation and imprisonment. Samson turns his heart toward the Lord. He prays for strength so that he can get vengeance against those who put out his eyes. His priorities are still somewhat out of order, but he is heading in the right direction. Samson has it in his heart to see the Philistines destroyed. That after all, is why the Lord raised him up to begin with! He will favour you and use you to bring the expansion of satanic kingdom to a halt.

 

1. Father, we thank You for Your favour that gives us good things that we are not qualified for because of our negative attitude to You.

 

2. We appreciate Your favour Lord, and for making us peculiar nation to You, despite of our shortcomings. 1 Peter 2:9-10

 

3. Repent, Confess, and forsake any sin the can hinder the growth of your hairs of favour. Isaiah 1:18

 

4. Father, help us and make us ready for fresh anointing that will grow the hair of our favour this season, in Jesus Name. Acts 2:1-3

 

5. Father, decorate us with your garment of favour that will give us exhalation and promotion that we are not qualified for in life, in Jesus Name. Genesis 37:3

 

6. Father, please grow the hairs to beautify and favour us before the people, and make them admire us for unmerited favour, in Jesus Name. Esther 2:17

 

7. The aroma of favour that made David, the last to become the first, and king let it come from Your throne of into our lives, in Jesus Name. 1 Samuel 16:6-13

 

8. Thou God who singled Esther out for favour, take me out of the crowd and make me seat on the throne of honour, in Jesus Name. Esther 2:17

 

9. O Lord our God, favour Your Church (Christ The Living Word Church), equip her with gifts of the Spirit and make her excel in the works of the ministry, in Jesus Name. 1 Corinthians 1:7

 

10. Father, grow the hair of our helpers, favour, and bless them with all good things of God, in Jesus Name. Proverbs 11:24-25

 

11. The hair of favour, I command you to grow so that I will be lifted above my contemporary in Jesus Name. 1 Samuel 2:7-8

 

12. Father, grow the hair of favour in our children and make their stars shine across the globe in their chosen careers, and glorify God, in Jesus Name. Isaiah 8:18

15. God of favour, give me favorable breakthrough that will make me rejoice and people will celebrate with me, in Jesus Name. Luke 1:57-58
